Rachel Trauner, has recently joined the Law Office of Benjamin Greenwald as an associate attorney. Ms. Trauner is currently admitted in both New York State and New Jersey State.

Rachel’s previous work experience includes the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office. Besides representing the People of the State of New York in daily court appearances, Rachel was also responsible for writing two writs of Habeas Corpus which are currently pending before the United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.  

Ms. Trauner also worked for the Post Conviction Project at John Jay Legal Services. At the Post Conviction Project, Rachel successfully assisted inmates with claims of actual innocence, filing post-conviction motions to have their convictions vacated.  Helping wrongfully convicted defendants to obtain freedom and justice is one of Ms. Trauner's passions, and the most satisfying part of her job as a criminal defense attorney.

Rachel’s passion for family law stems from her experiences working with domestic violence victims at the Elizabeth Buffum Chace House. This work aided Rachel in honing a specific and unique set of skills that she incorporates into her work at The Law Office of Benjamin Greenwald, that include compassion for victims, understanding the complexities of abuse situations, and fighting to get clients the justice they deserve.

Upon graduating from Pace University School of Law, Rachel was one of the few students to be selected for the Pro Bono Extraordinary Services Award for performing over 375 hours of service. This, like all of her experience, demonstrates Ms. Trauner's exceptional service and dedication to her clients and to the legal profession.
