Mark Toth began his career at Hall, Bloch, Garland & Meyer, LLP in 1989 and became a partner in 1994. Mr. Toth works in the litigation section of the law firm and has extensive experience in a wide range of civil actions in both federal and state courts. The major emphasis of his practice has been in the field of railroad law, focusing primarily on the defense of occupational illness claims filed by railroad employees pursuant to the Federal Employer's Liability Act. Mr. Toth's practice also includes the defense of tractor-trailer accidents for large companies responsible for delivering freight throughout the southeast. In addition, Mr. Toth has significant experience with employment discrimination lawsuits, business litigation and environmental claims. He represents numerous local companies throughout Georgia. He has been admitted to practice in all Georgia trial level and appellate courts as well as the U. S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Toth is a 1985 graduate of Valdosta State University and a 1989 graduate of Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University. He is a member of the Macon Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia, American Bar Association and the Bootle Inn of Court. Mr. Toth is also a member of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel (NARTC) and served as the Southeastern Region Vice-President from 2009-2010. Mr. Toth has served as a speaker on various topics at NARTC meetings held throughout the Country. Mr. Toth is married and has resided in Macon since 1986. He is a member of Christ Episcopal Church and is actively involved in numerous charitable and civic organizations located in Middle Georgia. Mark Toth has also served as the President of the Macon Rugby Club from 1998-Present.
