Cara C. Tonucci graduated summa cum laude from Quinnipiac University in 2004 with a B.S. in Business Marketing. In 2010 Ms. Tonucci graduated from University of Connecticut School of Law with a J.D. Also in 2010 Ms. Tonucci graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Business with a M.B.A. While a student at University of Connecticut School of Law she was active in the Student Bar Association, National Lawyers Guild, Mock Trial Society, and the MBA Marketing Club, serving as its vice president and co-founder. Ms. Tonucci was awarded the CALI Excellence Award in Comparative Freedom of Information Law. Ms. Tonucci was also acknowledged for her outstanding work in the Davis Mock Trial Competition.

Ms. Tonucci was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 2010.

Ms. Tonucci joined the firm in 2011 as an Associate. Prior to joining the firm Ms. Tonucci clerked for the Honorable Francis M. McDonald, Jr. and the Honorable Joseph P. Flynn at the Connecticut Appellate Court from 2010-2011, where she assisted in the preparation of a significant number of appellate decisions concerning a broad range of issues argued before the court.

Ms. Tonucci’s practice with the firm is concentrated on the defense of professional liability claims, product liability claims, liquor liability claims, general tort liability claims, and premises liability claims. Ms. Tonucci also handles appellate matters for the firm’s clients.

Ms. Tonucci is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Hartford County Bar Association, Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute, and was appointed a Barrister in the Oliver Ellsworth Inn of Court. Ms. Tonucci is active in the young lawyers section of the Primerus Defense Institute.

Ms. Tonucci is a resident of Glastonbury, Connecticut.
