Patrick A. Toomey practices exclusively in the area of Social Security disability law and has represented over 11,000 clients at all levels from initial filing through civil actions before the U.S. District Court.
Prior to beginning his legal education, Patrick served four years in the United States Marine Corps. During law school he served with the United States Army Reserve, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is a graduate of Hamline University, where he completed his B.A. in Legal Studies, and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Hamline University School of Law, receiving the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in the study of Conflicts of Law. In addition, Patrick obtained his LL.M. in International Commercial Law from the University of Nottingham, England. Patrick has practiced Social Security disability law since graduating from law school in 2002.
Patrick is licensed in the State of New York and a member of the New York State Bar Association, American Bar Association and National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives.
Patrick lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with his wife Sonia and their two children. He enjoys fly fishing, mountain biking, and camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area of Northern Minnesota.
