Mr. Tobin is an associate attorney at Bennerotte & Associates and a panel attorney for Criminal Defense Services, Inc. He was rated as a 2012 “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers® No more than 2.5% of attorneys are named “Rising Stars.” He serves as a No-Fault arbitrator, and he helped establish a low-income criminal defense panel in Dakota County. He aggressively advocates for the rights of injured people and those charged with criminal offenses. He also presents to chiropractors on boundaries and ethics. Mr. Tobin is also a soccer referee for the Minnesota State High School League.
He grew up in Eau Claire, WI, and studied political science and Norwegian at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN. Prior to law school, he received a Fulbright Fellowship to study at the University of Oslo, Norway. He graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN and then served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Robert A. Awsumb in Minnesota State District Court. Since 2007, he has been advocating for injured clients and clients charged with criminal offenses.
In 2009, Mr. Tobin joined Bennerotte & Associates, P.A. He has tried cases before juries, administrative courts, the Minnesota Court of Appeals, Immigration Court, and the Board of Immigration Appeals. He handles motor vehicle accidents, un/underinsured motorist claims, No-Fault insurance claims, food poisoning, dog bites, slip-and-falls, product liability, and premises liability. Mr. Tobin also handles professional negligence claims including medical, dental, and legal malpractice. In addition, he represents clients in criminal matters involving DWI/DUI (and Implied Consent), traffic, felony, gross misdemeanor, and misdemeanor charges. He also represents clients in licensing matters.
