Elizaveta S. Korotkova (Leeza) is a member of the firm's Appellate Practice, Business Litigation, Surrogate's Court Litigation, and Trusts & Estates groups. Since joining McCarthy Fingar, Leeza’s work centers on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and various types of Surrogate’s Court Litigation. She and other lawyers at the firm represent fiduciaries (executors, trustees and guardians) and actual or prospective beneficiaries of estates and trusts in a variety of contested proceedings and Will or Trust Construction Proceedings. In Business Litigation, Leeza represents clients in contract disputes and in other financial relationships, both at the state and federal level, including representing clients in the State of New Jersey, where she is also admitted.
While in law school at Pace University School of Law, she participated in various moot court competitions, including National Appellate Advocacy and Advanced Appellate Advocacy. During her second year at Pace Law School, Leeza worked and studied abroad at the University College of London. It was the first in a series of opportunities that earned her a Certificate in International Law upon graduation from Pace Law School. During her third year of law school, she worked pursuant to a student practice order at the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office at the Yonkers branch, seeking justice for victims of domestic violence
