Kirsten Lundell Koester's practice encompasses a broad range of transactional work for companies both emerging and established with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. Most of Ms. Koester's transactions involve privately-held and often involve international activities of affiliates in Europe, Canada or Asia. She also counsels clients in all areas of entity formation and structure, joint ventures, licensing transactions, commercial agreements, financing and employment contracts.
Prior to her career as an attorney, Ms. Koester worked in the Asset Management Group of Credit Suisse First Boston in New York City, where she oversaw the fund/client relations and reporting functions of the alternative investments investment program for high net worth individual and small institutional clients. She has significant experience with the negotiation and structuring of private equity transactions from early-stage venture capital to large-scale leveraged buyouts.
Ms. Koester is active with the Northwest Entrepreneur Network, the Washington Women Lawyers, and the King County Bar Association and is a member of the American Bar Association. As an alumna of the University of Washington School of Law, she often donates her time as a supervising attorney for that institution's Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, a joint venture with the Foster School of Business, and frequently serves as a professional mentor for first-year law students. She is admitted to practice in Washington.
