Julie Thompson joined Loevy & Loevy in 2008, after attending The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. While in law school, she was the recipient of the Lawton Memorial Scholarship for public interest law, and focused her extracurricular activities on environmental and civil rights law, including her work at the Chicago Environmental Law Clinic representing a grassroots organization in their fight against the state’s permitting decision of a tire facility.
Since starting at the firm, Ms. Thompson has focused on class action lawsuits regarding unconstitutional conditions for pre-trial detainees, as well as unconstitutional police brutality, wrongful shootings, and malicious prosecution cases.
She is a violinist in the Chicago Bar Association’s Symphony Orchestra.
