Michael Thomas was born in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1958. From 1979 through 1994, he was a patrol officer, accident investigator and sergeant with various police departments in the Dallas, Texas and Durango, Colorado areas. He then attended The University of Texas School of Law in 1996. After graduating, he worked in the Business Litigation Section at Shook, Handy & Bacon, L.L.P. in Kansas City, Missouri. He then worked at Thompson, Coe, Cousins and Irons in Austin, Texas before joining Naman, Howell, Smith & Lee, PLLC.
