Litigation
Mr. Teigen is involved in all areas of the firm's patent litigation practice and is intimately familiar with the statutory and regulatory framework surrounding suits arising under the Hatch-Waxman Amendments to the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. He has experience at every stage of litigation, from evaluating patents and counseling clients on pre-suit patent infringement and invalidity issues, to handling fact and expert discovery, participating in Markman briefing and hearings, and drafting trial and post-trial motions and briefs.
Regulatory Counseling and Litigation
Mr. Teigen also is heavily involved in the firm's regulatory counseling and litigation practice. In that role, he has been involved in several regulatory disputes arising under the Administrative Procedure Act, and also has experience with the filing of citizen petitions, related comments, and other administrative submissions with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Previous Experience
Mr. Teigen was a law clerk at Rakoczy Molino Mazzochi Siwik LLP for two years before joining the firm as an associate.
While attending St John's, Mr. Teigen worked as a research assistant at R & D Systems, Inc. (Techne Corp.) in the Cell Culture Department of the Biotechnology Division, culturing cells for cytokine and antibody synthesis and production.
