Raquel L. Taylor is a native of Erie. She graduated from Mercyhurst Prep in 1997. In 2000, Ms. Taylor received her Bachelor of Art Degree Summa Cum-Laude, in Political Science from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Taylor was awarded a Juris Doctor Degree Cum-Laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2003, where she was a member of the criminal defense law clinic and was awarded a 2003 trial tactics award. From 2000 to 2003 Taylor interned with the Erie County District Attorney's Office under the late Bradley H. Foulk. In August 2003, Taylor was hired by Foulk as an Assistant District Attorney. While serving as a prosecutor, Taylor went on to try to verdict several high profile cases, including homicides, attempted homicides, aggravated assaults against both adults and children. For the last several years Taylor has exclusively focused in the prosecution of child abuse cases. Taylor will be concentrating primarily in the areas of criminal defense and family law. Taylor brings years of litigation experience as a former prosecutor and a firm commitment to client communication and hard work.
In 2011, Taylor was listed in the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers magazine as a "Rising Star." That designation is reserved for the top 2.5% of attorneys in Pennsylvania who are under 40 or who have been practicing less than ten years.
