K. Leigh Taylor received a B.A. in Government and Spanish from the College of William and Mary and her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. During law school, she served as the Fairfax Bar Association's Conciliation Coordinator on the Friday's Motions Docket in the Fairfax Circuit Court.
After receiving her law degree, Leigh was the recipient of a Clinical Teaching Fellowship at the Domestic Violence Institute at Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. As a fellow, she advocated in the Domestic Violence Court for victims and provided crisis prevention and legal services within Boston's city hospital emergency room. Through the fellowship, Leigh also taught law students to advocate for victims of domestic violence.
After her return from Boston, Leigh was admitted to practice law in Virginia. She is an active member of the Virginia State Bar, Fairfax Bar Association, Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, Virginia Bar Association, Arlington Bar Association, and the Virginia Women Attorneys Association. Leigh is a member of the Fairfax Bar Association's Circuit Court Committee and Pro Bono Committee, and serves on the board of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association, Northern Virginia Chapter.
