Craig L. Klafter is primarily engaged in the representation of plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving product liability, personal injury, professional malpractice, workers compensation, commercial litigation and consumer litigation matters. Mr. Klafter also has extensive experience representing criminal defendants in municipal and state courts.
Mr. Klafter obtained substantial experience in the area of products liability while associated with a multi-state law firm specializing in the defense of product liability claims against manufacturers of automobiles, trucks, tires, woodworking, food processing and other industrial machines, and has defended warranty and lemon law claims pending against several automobile manufactures on a state wide basis. He received his B.A. Degree from Rutgers College, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey in 1981 and his J.D. Degree from New York Law School in 1984. He has been admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York since 1985.
Since admission to the bar, Mr. Klafter has gained years of litigation experience in the areas of personal injury, products liability, criminal defense, warranty litigation, lemon law, consumer fraud, commercial and real estate law. He has also served as either court-appointed counsel, or counsel for the plaintiff in connection with claims of the abuse, neglect or exploitation of vulnerable adults. He is currently a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Product Liability Section, the Monmouth County Bar Association and serves as a director of the Jersey Shore Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
