In private practice since 1983, Mr. Kirkpatrick has specialized in personal injury and injury liability claims including auto and truck accidents, slip and fall and trip and fall accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian and bicycle accident, product liability, insurance coverage and general negligence. He has obtained favorable verdicts for his clients in many cases and courtrooms throughout Southern California. He has tried 100’s of cases to verdict or result in state and federal court. In preparation for trial, Mr. Kirkpatrick has successfully handled thousands of depositions and court appearances and hundreds of arbitrations, mediations, and voluntary and mandatory settlement conferences.
Significant cases handled by Mr. Kirkpatrick as lead counsel include major dismemberment and death cases, multiple death cases, paraplegia accidents and other cases in Southern California.
Mr. Kirkpatrick is a Los Angeles County Court appointed arbitrator, currently sitting as a hearing officer in cases ordered to arbitration or mediation by the Los Angeles County Superior Court. He has also been a seminar speaker on trial tactics. He previously sat as Judge Pro Tem in Orange County Superior Court, South County.
