Ben was born in Seattle, Washington and grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. He was admitted to the State Bar of California and to the United States District Court for the Central District of California in 2003 and, thereafter, was admitted to the State Bar of Nebraska in 2005. Ben received his Bachelor of Arts and Science in both Philosophy and Political Science from the University of Nebraska @ Lincoln in 1999, and his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine School of Law in 2003. While at Pepperdine School of Law, Ben was a "fellow" of the Geoffrey H. Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law ("Palmer Center") and, in 2010, was appointed to its Board of Advisors for his work as a co-founder and principal of Netting Nations, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to combating the epidemic of malaria in developing regions around the world. Ben is an active member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel and the American Bar Association. Ben's law practice is focused on complex tort litigation, general negligence and products liability matters.
