Tony Kim is an attorney at Schad, Diamond & Shedden.  Mr. Kim represents clients in class action lawsuits and complex commercial litigation.

Tony Kim was class counsel in Miller v. Royal Maccabees Life Insurance Company, 97 CH 04324, a class action against an insurance company for breach of contract where Schad, Diamond & Shedden recovered $127.6 million for the class. 

Tony Kim was class counsel in Alport v. Peoples Energy Corporation, 04 CH 1931, a class action against an energy services provider alleging consumer fraud where Schad, Diamond & Shedden recovered $8.8 million dollars for the class. 

Tony Kim recovered $2.97 million for victims of a Ponzi scheme in Hoffman Ventures v. Essex, LLC, 02 CH 20211 and Becker v. RSM McGladrey, Inc., 09 L 11474.

Mr. Kim currently represents clients in Boundas v. Abercrombie & Fitch Stores, Inc., 10-4866, a class action on behalf of giftcard owners for breach of contract; and Baliff v. Village of Downers Grove, 11-3335, a class action on behalf of people who were charged unlawful booking fees by a municipality.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kim externed to the Honorable Milton Shadur in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.  He received his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School, in 2002, and his B.A. in Political Science from Purdue University in 1999.  Mr. Kim is a member of the Chicago, Illinois State, and American Bar Associations.  Tony Kim is admitted to the State Bar of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
