Tackett, Christopher W.

Caren Khoo is counsel in the Litigation Department at WilmerHale and a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group. She joined the firm in 2004.

Practice

Ms. Khoo focuses her practice on intellectual property and commercial litigation. She has counseled and represented clients in various patent, trademark and commercial matters, involving technologies ranging from computer software and mechanical inventions to pharmaceuticals and consumer products, and has particular experience in the pharmaceutical field.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Khoo was associated with an intellectual property law firm in New York, where she focused on pharmaceutical patent litigation.

Before attending law school, Ms. Khoo was a production supervisor in Wyeth’s Vaccines and Pediatrics division.

Recent Highlights

• Represention of a software company in successful litigation in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, obtaining a jury verdict of patent noninfringement and the first jury verdict of invalidity in the district.
• Representation of a major pharmaceutical company in trademark infringement actions against on-line pharmacies in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, resulting in a default judgment of trademark infringement against an overseas operator and the shut-down of the infringing websites.

Professional Activities

Ms. Khoo is a member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
