Vincent Swiney is an attorney with Townes & Woods, P.C. where he focuses his practice on the handling of workers’ compensation and Social Security Disability/SSI cases.

Vincent received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his law degree from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. While in law school, he served as an Executive Director on the Trial Advocacy Board, won the Judge James O. Haley Federal Court Competition, and was named to The Order of Barristers.  Vincent is a member of the American Association for Justice (Social Security Section (Secretary), Workers’ Compensation Section), The National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR), the Alabama Association for Justice (Workers’ Compensation Section, Auto Torts Section, Emerging Leaders Section), the Alabama Bar Association (Workers’ Compensation Section (Immediate Past Chair), Young Lawyers’ Section), the Birmingham Bar Association (Executive Committee, Workers’ Compensation Section (Current Chair), Probate Section, Young Lawyers’ Section, Long Range Planning Committee), was selected, for the fourth consecutive year, to be included in the 2013 Rising Stars List by Super Lawyers, and was selected by Birmingham Magazine as one of the Top Attorneys in Birmingham in the area of workers’ compensation law. 

Vincent is licensed to practice in all state courts within the State of Alabama and the State of Tennessee as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama and the United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit.
