Charlotte G. Swift, a former partner with Jason, Nesson & Swift, L.L.P., became associated with the Firm in 2008, joining the Commercial Litigation Department headed by Richard H. Sarajian.Ms. Swift practices in the areas of business litigation, construction litigation and employment litigation, specializing in employment discrimination litigation. She regularly represents clients before the EEOC and NYS Division of Human Rights.Ms. Swift also has extensive appellate experience in both state and federal courts, including before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the New York State Court of Appeals, and is a guest lecturer on Mechanics Liens in New York State.
Ms. Swift earned her B.S. in Music Education from Crane School of Music, State University of New York at Potsdam in 1980, and completed her M.S. in Education there in 1981.She received her J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University in 1994, receiving a certificate in International Business, Commercial and Comparative Litigation from the Inns of Court, London , England and McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, in 1992.Ms. Swift participates in numerous community activities, and is a member of the Rockland County , Columbia County , and New York State Bar Associations, as well as the Rockland County and New York Women's Bar Association.She is admitted to practice in the States of New York and New Jersey , as well as Federal Courts.
