Justin Kelton is an Associate in the New York office of Bickel & Brewer. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation.
Mr. Kelton was recently appointed by Hon. Ann Pfau, Chief Administrative Judge of the New York State Unified Court System, to serve as a member of the New York State Court System's E-Discovery Working Group. In this capacity, Mr. Kelton works closely with judges and court staff to develop and implement e-discovery pilot programs, educational materials, and best practices, and to monitor relevant trends and developments, and address the practical and technical problems related to e-discovery which face litigants and courts today.
Additionally, Mr. Kelton was selected to serve as Co-Chair of the NYCLA Joint Subcommittee On The Second Circuit's Proposed Local Rules, in which capacity he helped to advise the United States District Court for the Second Circuit on its creation and implementation of its Local Rules. In addition to serving as Co-Chair, Mr. Kelton co-authored NYCLA's Joint Response To The Second Circuit's Request For Comments on its Proposed Local Rules.
In 2008, Mr. Kelton received his juris doctor degree from Albany Law School. While in law school, Mr. Kelton was a research assistant to Prof. Annette Kahler, director of the Science and Technology Law Center. Mr. Kelton was also selected to represent Albany Law at the 2006-2007 National Moot Trial Court Competition, where he became Albany Law School's highest ranking competitor. Mr. Kelton's other moot court experience includes the Domenick L. Gabrielli Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition, and the Karen C. McGovern Senior Prize Trials Moot Court Competition (Semi-Finalist). Mr. Kelton was also an Albany Law School student ambassador, and he currently serves as an Albany Law School Mentor.
Mr. Kelton also holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Muhlenberg College, which he received in 2005. During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Kelton received academic honors, and was a featured lecturer on legal issues related to computer security.

Mr. Kelton is a member of the New York County Lawyers' Association, and the New York State Bar Association.
