Marilyn B. Keller was born in Covina, California in 1964. She graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1982. Following high school, Ms. Keller attended William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri and received her bachelor's degree in Accounting in 1986. While attending William Jewell College, Ms. Keller studied abroad at Oxford University in Oxford, England, during her junior year. She was an active member of the Delta Zeta sorority and played tennis on the William Jewell Women's Tennis Team. Before going to law school, Ms. Keller worked as an accountant and financial analyst. She attended law school at the University of Missouri - Kansas City and graduated in 1991. While attending law school, Ms. Keller was an associate editor for the University of Missouri - Kansas City Urban Lawyer and was a student intern at the firm of Wyrsch Hobbs & Mirakian, P.C. Ms. Keller joined the firm as an associate in September 1991. Ms. Keller is a member of the bar in Kansas and Missouri and is admitted to pratice law in the United States District Courts for Western Missouri and Kansas. In addition, Ms. Keller is admitted to practice law in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth and Tenth Circuits. She has tried cases in other jurisdictions with local counsel as required by court rules. Ms. Keller practices primarily in the area of criminal defense, both at trial and on appeal, as well as habeas corpus cases and municipal court matters. She is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Ms. Keller has been active in the community as a Salvation Army Advisory Board Member for Platte County, Missouri and as an active member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
