Melissa Studin joined the firm in 2009 after graduating magna cum laude from NYU undergraduate with a Bachelors of Science in Child Psychology, and New York Law School with a Juris Doctorate. While at NYU Melissa worked at Court Appointed Special Advocates in the Queens County Family Court where she advocated on behalf of abused and neglected children, peaking her interest in a legal career. During her studies at New York Law School she participated in the Family Law Clinic where she assisted indigent men and women obtain divorces, and the Court Room Advocates program, where she advocated on behalf of battered spouses. While at New York Law School she also worked at a large corporate firm in midtown Manhattan, and then subsequently interned for a Manhattan matrimonial firm. Melissa also interned for a Nassau County Supreme Court Justice while in law school. Melissa is currently a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, the Queens County Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association, and is a member of the Women's Bar Matrimonial Committee. Melissa is very active in the court systems representing clients in Nassau, Queens and Suffolk Counties and assists Jill C. Stone in the Nassau County office specializing in family law and matrimonial cases.
