Peyton Keaton focuses his practice on representing management in both labor and employment law matters. His experience includes defending employers in wage and hour, discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination litigation. He represents companies in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, banking, health care, automotive, construction, education, service and government contractors.
Peyton represents employers in state and federal cases and before the United States Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, and before other federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
In addition, Peyton counsels employers in a variety of issues, including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) compliance, discrimination/retaliation in the workplace, employee terminations, union organizing and avoidance, the drafting of employment and separation agreements, affirmative action compliance and general employment policies and procedures. He conducts internal investigations of employee-relations matters, as well as conducts management training on developments in various employment and labor laws.
Prior to joining Stovash, Case & Tingley, P.A., Peyton spent over 10 years as a human resources and labor relations consultant where he served as Senior Vice President of a national management consulting firm. During law school, Peyton was a member of the Florida A&M University Law Review.
