Jillian C. Keating was admitted to the Bar in 2007. She is licensed to practice in Indiana and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. Jillian graduated from Valparaiso University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and was a double major in Political Science and History. She also received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Valparaiso University.
Jillian concentrates her practice in the areas of criminal defense, family law and general civil litigation. Jillian's experience in criminal defense matters includes defending drunk driving charges, drug possession and dealing, battery, minor consumption/illegal possession of alcohol, violations of probation, traffic offenses and other misdemeanor and felony charges. In regards to her family law practice, Jillian has experience in many areas, including divorce, custody disputes, child support, paternity, post-dissolution matters, guardianships and protective orders.
Jillian is a member of the Indianapolis, Hamilton County, Indiana State and American Bar Associations. Jillian is also a volunteer and advocate with the Hamilton County Guardian Ad Litem Program. The mission of the Hamilton County Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) Program is to advocate for the best interest of children involved in court proceedings. Courts are appointing GALs in a broad variety of cases including guardianship, paternity, divorce, CHINS and juvenile delinquency cases. Jillian also accepts pro bono cases for clients who could not otherwise obtain legal services through the Heartland Pro Bono Council.
