Tracy Stratford practices in the area of commercial litigation. She has significant experience in bankruptcy litigation and has represented several debtors, including Oglebay Norton Company, LTV Steel Company, and Alderwoods, in litigation arising in or relating to their bankruptcy proceedings. Tracy also has served as counsel to the Vermont Insurance Commissioner, as liquidator of Ambassador Insurance Company, litigating issues in the insurer's insolvency proceedings. She also has counseled clients on insurance regulation.
Tracy was a member of the trial team that obtained a $120 million jury verdict on behalf of the Vermont Insurance Commissioner in a New Jersey federal court against one of the Big Four accounting firms, a result reported by The Wall Street Journal as one of the largest jury verdicts ever awarded against a national accounting firm for auditing malpractice.
In addition to bankruptcy litigation and professional malpractice (including accounting, actuarial, and legal malpractice) claims, Tracy has significant experience in health care litigation and compliance issues. She currently represents a major health care institution in employment and tax litigation.
Tracy is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Judge John Manos Inn of Court.
