A partner at Saller & Bishop, David M. Story concentrates his civil litigation practice in the area of plaintiffs' personal injury claims.
Born in Baltimore, and aside from time away at college, Mr. Story has been a lifelong resident of the Baltimore metropolitan area. Mr. Story graduated from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Sociology. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law and graduated summa cum laude in the top 2% of his class. Mr. Story is a member of the Heuisler Honor Society for the distinction of graduating in the top 10% of his law school class.
During law school, Mr. Story worked as an intern for the Honorable Judge Alexander Wright, Jr. on the Court of Special Appeals as well as the Honorable Judge Marvin J. Garbis on the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
Prior to law school, Mr. Story was employed as a litigation paralegal with a prestigious insurance defense firm in Baltimore, working primarily for the firm's principal partner in the area of general liability defense involving catastrophic accident claims. Mr. Story uses the knowledge he gained while working for the defense to help his clients. As a result of his experience working for an insurance defense firm, Mr. Story has the advantage of knowing the insurance companies' strategies with regard to accident claims. By using this inside knowledge and experience, Mr. Story is better able to advance his clients' interests by providing sound advice on whether to proceed to trial or achieve resolution of the matter through settlement negotiations.
Mr. Story is a member of the Maryland State Bar. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association.
