David specializes in civil litigation including defense of auto negligence, premises liability, and general negligence.
He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics in 1971. In 1975, he graduated Cum Laude from the Detroit College of Law, where he was also a member of the Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity. He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1975, and later to the U.S. Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit and the U.S. District Court of the Eastern and Western Districts.
Dave has lectured and taught on a number of subjects, including: tort law and legal research for the American Institute of Paralegal Training (1982-1982), tort law at the People's Law School for the Oakland County Bar Association Negligence Law Committee (1988-1994) and OCBA Young Lawyers Seminars (1990-1995). Additionally, he has worked with State Farm Claims Seminars.
Since 1980, he has been a mediator for Oakland and Wayne County, an American Arbitration Association member, and a private arbitrator. He has been active on committees for the State Bar of Michigan (Character and Fitness) and Oakland County Bar Association (Negligence Commission - Past Chairman) and is a member of the Association of Defense Trial Counsel and Michigan Defense Trial Counsel.
