Ms. Stephenson represents business debtors and creditors throughout all phases of chapter 7 bankruptcy and chapter 11 reorganization, as well as municipalities in chapter 9. Her practice consists of pre-bankruptcy work-outs, liquidations, reorganizations, and post-bankruptcy representation not only for financially distressed companies, but also for individual debtors and creditors. Ms. Stephenson has substantial experience with bankruptcy litigation including involuntary bankruptcy filings, homestead exemption issues, and discharge/dischargeability actions. Ms. Stephenson also represents individual and business debtors and creditors in their bankruptcy appeals to the United States District Courts of Texas and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Professional Background
Prior to joining Pronske & Patel, P.C. in 2006, Ms. Stephenson externed with the Honorable Harlin D. Hale, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division and served as a legal intern for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the General Counsel. Ms. Stephenson is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Association of Young Bankruptcy Lawyers and the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, as well as a Barrister in the John C. Ford American Inn of Court, 2009-present.
