Sterling, Randall C.

Originally from Fernandina Beach, Florida, Brett Steger graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Following his undergraduate studies, Brett attended Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law where he earned his juris doctorate degree.

While at Mercer, Brett was elected chapter justice of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, a professional, social and service organization. He was selected to receive the Class of 1974 merit scholarship and earned Mercer's exclusive Certificate in Advanced Legal Writing, Research and Drafting.

During his third year of law school, Brett was selected to be a member of Macon's William A. Bootle American Inn of Court, an organization designed to improve the skills, professionalism and ethics of the bench and bar. In addition, he participated in the Law and Public Service Program by working for a year with the local Public Defender's Office under Georgia's Third Year Practice Act. In the Program, Brett handled felony cases in the Superior Courts of Bibb, Peach and Crawford counties and also represented individuals charged with violations of probation in those courts.

Upon graduating from law school, Brett became an associate with the Dozier Law Firm and has been with the firm ever since. He is admitted to practice law in all the courts in Georgia, including the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Georgia as well as the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. Brett is an active member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Brett's practice includes all types of personal injury cases, including representing individuals injured in car accidents or in slip and falls. In addition, Brett has extensive experience handling cases for individuals accused of violating Georgia law. Brett handles felonies and misdemeanors in most central Georgia counties.

Brett and his wife, Amanda, met while in law school together. They currently live in Macon with their two dogs, Dakota and Cheyenne.
