I was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois. In 2010, I earned a law degree from SIU School of Law, passed the Illinois Bar Examination, was admitted to the Bar and immediately began practicing criminal defense full-time. I have represented individuals against prosecution by the state from start to end in many different areas of the law, including DUI, felony DUI, traffic, misdemeanor offenses, felony offenses, probation revocation hearings, bond hearings, DCFS cases, arraignments, preliminary hearings, juvenile delinquency, quashing warrants, plea negotiations, extradition hearings, bench trials and jury trials. In 2012, I assisted Davis Law Offices, LLC in the expansion of their current practice of representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases to include defense against state prosecution. In addition to practicing law, I was recently appointed by the Governor to be one of nine Commissioners that regulates and oversees the sport of horse racing in Illinois.
