Neil H. Spike is an attorney with The Spike & Meckler Law Firm, LLP in Elyria, OH.  Mr. Spike has been an attorney for 16 years and focuses his practice on estate planning and administration, probate litigation, elder law, asset protection and general business law.  He also represents clients in domestic relations matters (with an emphasis on prenuptial agreements and post decree/modifications of custody and support), defense of OVI/DUI and other misdemeanor/traffic related offenses, foreclosure defense and other civil litigation.

Mr. Spike is a frequent lecturer on probate and estate planning matters for National Business Institute (NBI), the Ohio State Bar Association, the Lorain County Bar Association and other professional groups.  He has represented over 2500 clients in dozens of jurisdictions throughout the states of Ohio and Florida.  He is a member of the Florida Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Lorain County Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the American Bar Association (Real Property, Probate & Trust section).  He is licensed to practice law in Ohio, Florida, The United States District Court (Northern District of Ohio) and U.S. Tax Court.  A 1987 graduate of Elyria High School, Mr. Spike went on to earn his B.A. in Economics from Ohio State University (1991), M.A. in Economics from Cleveland State University (1994), J.D. from the University of Toledo (1997) and his Masters of Law (LL.M.) in Estate Planning from the University of Miami at Coral Gables (1998).

In 2012, Mr. Spike received a Distinguished Service Award from the Lorain County Boys & Girls Club for his decade long tenure on the Board of Directors; four years as President of the Board.  Mr. Spike is also a youth soccer coach for the Westlake Soccer Association.
