Allison Bonner Johanson was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where she obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1995. Following that, Ms. Johanson received her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1998 from South Texas College of Law where she participated in Varsity Mock Trial competitions. Ms. Johanson is a member of the Texas Bar Association, Houston Bar Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association, and is licensed to practice in all Texas state courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of Texas.
Ms. Johanson's practice focuses primarily on commercial and real estate litigation, as well as corporate and real estate transactions. She has defended real estate brokers, homebuilders, and various commercial entities throughout the trial process. Additionally, Ms. Johanson has successfully prosecuted and defended appeals. Ms. Johanson's transactional experience includes drafting/negotiating corporate and partnership documents, security agreements, brokerage and management agreements, architect agreements, construction contracts, commercial leases, and other general contracts. Her publications include: "The Legislature's Historic Texas Residential Construction Commission Act" (Houston Realtor, December 2003); "Broker Risks: Working Without Pay and Other Perils," October 2002 Commercial Real Estate Course, South Texas College of Law (Co-Author); and "Broker Cases: How Not to Get in Trouble," October 1999 Commercial Real Estate Course, South Texas College of Law (Co-Author).
Ms. Johanson is an active member of the Junior League of Houston, serves as a Board member of The Children's Fund, Inc., and is involved with the Young Friends of the DePelchin Center. In her spare time, Ms. Johanson enjoys running and other outdoor sports.
