Spagnoli, Christine D.

Clay Jenkins is a fifth generation Ellis County resident. He attended public schools in Waxahachie and is a 1982 graduate of Waxahachie High School. He continued his education at Baylor University obtaining a B.A. in 1985, and a law degree in 1987. He served as briefing attorney for the Texas Supreme Court from 1988 to 1989. In 1989, he returned home to work with his father, Warwick H. Jenkins, who founded the firm in 1948, and practiced until his death in 2001. Clay began his practice as a general practice attorney handling all types of trial matters. For the last thirteen years, his practice has been limited plaintiffs' personal injury.

Mr. Jenkins is a member of the Ellis County Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, The College of the State Bar of Texas, The Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the United States Supreme Court Historical Society, and the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society.

He is also listed in Who's Who in Practicing Attorneys. He is an attorney member of the Brain Injury Association of Texas.

He is presently serving his second term on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association and is the only lawyer whose principal office is outside Dallas County ever elected to serve on the Board. He has been named Best Personal Injury Attorney in Ellis County by a poll of Ellis County Attorneys in The Texas Lawyer.
 
Mr. Jenkins is a much sought after speaker on personal injury matters and has lectured to lawyer groups all over Texas, as well as in other states as far away as Alaska. He has published articles on personal injury practice in numerous legal periodicals. He has obtained million dollar settlements for his clients in North, South, East and West Texas. Last year, he obtained numerous settlements for his client, including a multi-million dollar settlement in Dallas County and a nine-and-a-half million dollar verdict in Ellis County.

He formerly served as a member of the ATLA, Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and North Texas Legal Services.
