Attorney Jan Janin's practice involves the representation of debtors, secured creditors, unsecured creditors in bankruptcy. Particular emphasis is placed on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 debtors. His practice also involves extensive collection work on behalf of banks and credit unions. Michael's practice involves litigation in both state and federal courts of Western Pennsylvania. Specifically, he is admitted to practice before all courts under the purview of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Most often, the litigation which he is involved in entails bankruptcy cases filed in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and collection work in the Court of Common Pleas of Erie County, Pennsylvania.

From 1983 through 1989, Michael practiced law as an Associate in the Litigation Department of the law firm of Quinn, Buseck, Leemhuis, Toohey & Kroto, Inc. Since 1989, he has been a Shareholder in the Litigation Department of the law firm of Quinn, Buseck, Leemhuis, Toohey & Kroto, Inc. There he practices in the civil litigation arenas. A significant portion of this litigation involves bankruptcy work on behalf of debtors, secured creditors and unsecured creditors. He also engages in extensive collection work. Michael also have a great deal of experience in counseling individual clients and businesses regarding their interests as it relates to both bankruptcy and collection.
