Mark A. Solomon is considered one of Nevada’s premier trust and estate attorneys. He focuses primarily on litigation and resolution of contested matters. Mr. Solomon has represented numerous banks and other professional and private fiduciaries, as well as beneficiaries, creditors and purchasers, in numerous complex probate matters. He has drafted and edited hundreds of substantial estate plans, creditor protection plans, and premarital agreements.
Prior to forming Solomon Dwiggins & Freer, Ltd., Mr. Solomon served as a shareholder for almost 29 years at Lionel Sawyer & Collins and was the Chair of its Trusts and Estates Practice Group. He has chaired the State Bar of Nevada Probate and Trust Section and its Legislative Committee which proposed and secured passage of various amendments to the Nevada Revised Statutes concerning wills, estates, guardianships and trusts. He has also co-chaired the Rules Committee of the State Bar of Nevada Probate and Trust Section, which is charged with drafting and seeking adoption of local court rules to govern proceedings involving trusts and estates. Mr. Solomon has served as an expert witness in trust, estate and guardianship matters. His combined experience and knowledge make him an ideal candidate to serve as a mediator in trust and estate disputes. Mr. Solomon writes and speaks frequently on probate and trust related topics.
