Wes joined the firm in 2009. He graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2004 and obtained a law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2007. He also studied international law and Shakespeare at the University of Oxford.
As a law student Wes was competitively selected for Washington and Lee's nationally acclaimed Black Lung Legal Clinic, where he represented coal workers in administrative proceedings before the U.S. Department of Labor. Wes also argued in Virginia state trial courts on behalf of indigent clients in domestic relations matters and interned with Washington, D.C.-based Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility as an A. Paul Knight Memorial Fellow.
Upon admission to the West Virginia Bar in 2007, Wes handled mass tort and Federal Employers Liability Act claims. His practice here focuses on civil litigation and appeals.
