Stanley H. Jakala has been practicing law for over 55 years. He was selected for inclusion in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013 Illinois Super Lawyers. Mr. Jakala has represented public employees, particularly police and fire employees, in disciplinary matters and pensions. He was legal counsel for the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police for 29 years and was the national legal counsel for the Fraternal Order of Police from 1979-1981. He represented the Village of Westchester, Illinois, in labor negotiations with public employees for ten years; has represented pension boards; and is presently representing the Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Police and Fire Pension Boards.

He has been involved in 112 published Appellate and Supreme Court opinions, prevailing in 39% of those appeals. Mr. Jakala earned a bachelor of arts from Loyola University Chicago and a juris doctor from Northwestern University. He has received testimonials from the Illinois House of Representatives, Northwestern University School of Law, and Village of Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
