Rick graduated as valedictorian of Lancaster High School's Class of 1973. He then attended The Ohio State University where he graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1976. He earned his juris doctorate from the Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University in 1979.
Rick has served on the Fairfield County Revolving Loan Committee, the Fairfield County Housing Council, the Fairfield County Foundation Board, the Fairfield Medical Center Board and as Special Counsel to the Attorney General. He is currently on the Fairfield Medical Center Foundation Board and is counsel for the Lancaster Board of Realtors.
Rick practices in estate and business planning, corporate law, taxation and real estate cases. Rick has handled business acquisitions involving small sole proprietorships to multi-million dollar corporations.
He advises individual clients on Medicaid, elder law, avoiding probate and saving estate taxes. He also handles 1031 exchanges, annexations and commercial real estate transactions.
Rick is a member of the Fairfield County and Ohio State Bar Associates. He is a past President of the Fairfield County Bar Association, and a member of the Central Ohio Estate Planning Council.
