Gregory W. Smith has represented employees for over 20 years in the field of employment litigation. As a panel member of the Los Angeles Police Protective League, he often handles cases brought by police officers against the City of Los Angeles for a variety of employment claims. Mr. Smith also represents firefighters in the Los Angeles Fire Department for claims brought against the city. Mr. Smith has settled multiple cases in the million dollar range. In 2009 Mr. Smith was one of the lawyers to set precedent in the case McDonald v. Antelope Valley Community College District when the California Supreme Court ruled that tolling was permitted in FEHA discrimination cases. In 2009 and 2011, Mr. Smith was nominated as Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Los Angeles Consumer Attorneys' Association.
