Practice
Mr. Smith’s practice includes litigation and prosecution of patents, as well as advising clients regarding intellectual property matters. In addition, he also assists members of the firm’s Aviation Practice and counsels clients on FAA regulatory compliance and enforcement matters.
Mr. Smith has represented individual and corporate clients in judicial and regulatory forums around the nation, including federal and state trial courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Aviation Administration. Mr. Smith has litigated patents pertaining to microprocessor architecture and operation, GPS systems, digital camera design and operation, and cellular phone technology. He has prepared and prosecuted patent applications for inventions in the electrical, medical and mechanical arts.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Smith was a network and computer consultant supporting numerous clients in the financial and architectural industries.
