Jeffrey Hydrick is a special counsel in the firm's Regulatory and Government Affairs Department, and a member of the Financial Institutions Practice Group. He joined the firm in 1997. Mr. Hydrick's practice focuses primarily on corporate and transactional matters, as well as certain domestic tax issues.
Practice
Mr. Hydrick’s corporate practice consists of representing public and private corporations in mergers and acquisitions, asset purchases and sales, private equity transactions, financing facilities and transactions, and corporate governance and general corporate matters. Mr. Hydrick has extensive experience with respect to credit card transactions, asset securitizations and loan servicing transactions and issues.
Mr. Hydrick’s tax practice consists of representing clients with domestic federal and state tax issues, including counseling clients on worker classification issues, state sales and use tax issues and litigation settlements.
Recent Highlights
Recent corporate transactions include: the completion of a private label credit card arrangement for an international clothing retailer; the representation of a domestic financial institution in the completion of private label and other credit card-related transactions; the acquisition by a newspaper publisher of distribution routes; and the restructuring of the private equity investments of a commercial and consumer finance company.
Recent tax matters include the representation of a television broadcast network in a worker classification dispute with the IRS and the representation of a tax-exempt entity in connection with various worker classification issues.
