DEBRA A. SLATER is a partner in our Milwaukee office where her practice includes employment law, debtor and creditor's rights, and commercial litigation.
Ms. Slater is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin (B.A., with distinction, 1975) and of Marquette University Law School (J.D., magna cum laude, 1983). She has served as an adjunct professor of law at Marquette University Law School, teaching Civil Pretrial Practice and as an instructor for the American Institute for Paralegal Studies, teaching torts and contract law.
She is a lecturer for the University of Wisconsin Extension in the area of employment law. Ms. Slater was an officer and is currently a director of America's Second Harvest of Wisconsin. She was a member of the Supreme Court of Wisconsin's Board of Attorneys Professional Responsibility and served on its Professional Responsibility Committee. She has authored a chapter on wage and hour laws to be included in the upcoming state bar publication, Wisconsin Business Law.
Ms Slater is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and all state trial level courts. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Bar Association.
