Larry Hughes has practiced primarily in the areas of real estate law, estate planning, probate and commercial law since joining the firm in 1965. With almost 40 years of experience with both residential and commercial real estate transactions, and with access to arguably the largest and most comprehensive private collection of title opinions and real estate records in Southwestern Minnesota at his disposal, Larry has the ability to solve even the most complex real estate problems quickly and cost effectively. Larry was admitted to practice before the Minnesota Supreme Court in 1965 and the United States Supreme Court in 1971.

Personal Information:

Larry Hughes was born in 1940, in Worthington, Minnesota. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S.B. in 1962 and he attended the University of Minnesota School of Law, where he received his LL.B. in 1965. He is a member of both the Minnesota State Bar Association (in which he served as Councilperson on the Section of Taxation, Chairperson of the Section of Taxation and Member of the Board of Governors); a member of the American Bar Association; and a fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Larry and his wife Janet live in Worthington, Minnesota and are members of the American Lutheran Church of Worthington. Larry is a member of the Chamber Singers and serves on the Board of Directors of First State Bank Southwest.
