Rudy Huizenga became one of the first attorneys to establish that employee handbooks could form the basis of claims for wrongful discharge.
He is relentless in pursuing his cases and several of them have resulted in multi-million dollar settlements for his clients.
Analyzing thousands of pages of documents and complex statistical data, Rudy successfully represented clients against major corporations in several large group actions involving workforce reductions. He challenged employer release agreements for failure to comply with Federal law, allowing employees to maintain lawsuits for age discrimination. His battles have taken him to the U.S. Court of Appeals and U.S. Supreme Court where he prevailed.
Rudy's representation of employees dates from 1976 and spans the nation. He has successfully litigated claims in Michigan as well as Indiana, California, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, and other states. Rudy has been selected as a plaintiff's representative by the National Center for Dispute Settlement.
