Ms. Houston trained to be a classical ballet dancer at North Carolina School of the Arts, obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1993, and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1997 where she was a staff writer on law review and a member of the intellectual property moot court team. She returned to Hochman & Plunkett in 2011, having previously worked for the firm for five years, first as a law clerk during law school and then as an associate attorney after graduation. Ms. Houston also practiced insurance defense law, served as appointed counsel and guardian ad litem in cases before the Montgomery County Juvenile Court, and wrote a book about personal injury law, Anderson’s Ohio Personal Injury Litigation Manual, published in 2009 by LexisNexis. She is licensed in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.
