Silverman, Terry N.

Derek A. Siebert grew up in Sussex, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee. He graduated from Sussex-Hamilton High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Derek obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minored in History upon graduation in 2007.

Derek then attended law school at Faulkner University, Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. While earning his Juris Doctor, Derek was extremely active in the advocacy programs during law school. He was awarded a position in the first-year moot court competition and was selected to the advocacy competition list. During his second year in law school, Derek and his teammate won their region in the ABA Representation in Mediation Tournament and earned one of the final ten spots in the national tournament in San Francisco, California.

In Derek's third-year of law school, he served as Senior Board Member on the Board of Advocates, participated in the intra-school mock trial competition, earned two top grade awards in Insurance Law and Arbitration Law, and was on the Dean’s List. In addition, Derek participated in the Mediation Clinic where third-year students help parties at the Montgomery Small-Claims Court resolve their disputes prior to litigation.

After graduation and passing the Alabama Bar Exam, Derek moved to Mobile, Alabama where he took an Associate Attorney position at Gardberg, Clausen, & Kemmerly, P.C.
