Scott Siekierski concentrates his practice on state tax controversy matters.  He has experience in issues related to the unitary business principle and state income tax apportionment, franchise/capital-based taxes, hotel occupancy taxes, and use taxes.  He has extensive experience in municipal administrative procedure and state-level administrative proceedings and has participated in state and federal court trials and appeals of tax matters. 

His experience includes several dozen pending audits and cases involving online travel companies, representing a healthcare company in state-level administrative tax proceedings in Massachusetts, defending a refining company disputing its state income tax obligations in Alaska, and assisting an energy company to reverse a $56.7 million municipal use tax assessment in a writ of mandate trial in California.
