After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin, Philip House moved to Louisiana to attend law school at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center in Baton Rouge. After earning his degree from the law center Mr. House accepted a position with the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s office. As an Assistant District Attorney with that office Mr. House was promoted to a felony prosecutor where he handled violent and sex based crime.

In the 2006 aftermath of Hurricane Katrina Mr. House chose to accept a position with the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office in the Consumer Protection Division. Mr. House was given the task of coordinating the response to the influx of contractor fraud complaints that had become so common place in New Orleans during the recovery efforts. Mr. House created the process by which those complaints were reviewed and evaluated what action the Department of Justice should take. He served as the Attorney General’s representative on the multiagency recovery panel along with representatives from the Orleans District Attorney’s Office, the Louisiana Contractor’s Licensing Board, and the New Orleans Police Department. During this time Mr. House was commissioned as a special prosecutor with the Orleans District Attorney’s Office and assisted that office in criminal prosecution of felony grade offenses.

Mr. House then accepted a position with the East Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office. During his tenure with that office he was responsible for the prosecution of serious felony cases such as Homicides, Armed Robberies, Drug, and Sex Crime.

Mr. House feels that his extensive experience as a prosecutor in several jurisdictions with many different agencies is an invaluable asset to his clients.

Philip is married to Amy Scheurich House and they are proud parents and active members of St. Aloysius Church.
