Fred Homan was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1955, and grew up in a large family in Allston, Massachusetts. He graduated from English High School in Boston in 1961. His dad was a factory worker in Boston and had his own work related accident, so Fred Homan saw first hand how this could affect a family. After graduating from college at Boston University with a degree in Communications, he worked as a claims adjuster for American Mutual Insurance Company and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company where he processed personal injury and workers compensation claims.
Fred decided to go to law school at night while working in the insurance industry. He attended Suffolk University School of Law, and upon graduation he entered the legal department at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. While defending worker's compensation cases he decided he would rather be representing the employees who were injured. He then opened up his own law firm originally in Marlborough, Massachusetts in the early 1980's. He has worked for almost 30 years, helping injured workers get the benefits they deserved.
He has worked with several attorneys over the years including Brian Hodson and Ward Weizel in his practice. Fred has always believed in giving clients the best service he possibly can. Fred goes out of his way to make sure clients are able to get to their doctor's appointments and always picks them up to drive them into Court whether its at the Department of Industrial Accidents in Springfield, Fall River, Lawrence, Boston, or Worcester.
