Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Holmes proudly served in the United States Army. After serving overseas for a period of time, Mr. Holmes returned to California and subsequently entered law school. While in law school, he not only served as Editor-in-Chief of the school's Law Review, he also served as an orator on numerous National Moot Court Competitions. Immediately after law school, Mr. Holmes passed the California State Bar and accepted a position as a Deputy District Attorney in Southern California.
While serving as a Prosecutor, Mr. Holmes handled a countless number of misdemeanor and felony criminal cases, as well as numerous appeals. He successfully conducted countless jury trials; handled felony preliminary hearings; conducted hearings/motions relating to various legal issues; and developed a strong understanding of how to be successful in the area of criminal law.
After serving as a Deputy District Attorney, Mr. Holmes left the office to become an effective criminal defense attorney. Mr. Holmes credits much of his success to the fact that he was able to find out how the various District Attorney offices evaluate cases and what issues they look for when prosecuting cases.
As a Defense Attorney, Mr. Holmes successfully defends clients facing charges ranging from lower level misdemeanor charges all the way up to major felony cases in Riverside County, San Bernardino County, Los Angeles County, San Diego County and Orange County.
